Green Papaya Salad with king prawns (Som Tam Talay)

Ingredients
shredded green papaya - 200 grams (peel green papaya and grate making long slices in a grater)
shredded carrot - 2 tablespoons.
brown sugar or syrup - 1 tablespoon
fresh lime juice - 2 tablespoons (lemon juice is okay)
soya sauce - 1 1/2 tablespoons
red chili (crushed) – 1 medium
garlic (crushed) - 1 clove
tomatoes - 2 medium, cut into small pieces
green beans (runner beans) - 5 stalks, sliced
peanuts or cashew nuts - 2 teaspoons (or a little more)
king prawns - 4

How to make
In a large bowl, mix together garlic, chili, lime juice, brown sugar and soya sauce.
Add tomatoes, long green beans and green papaya.
Toss ingredients together like a salad.

To cook king prawns:
Steam in a little water OR microwave for 60 seconds.
Make sure prawns are thoroughly cooked.

Add cooked prawns to salad and mix again.
Serve with prawns on top of salad and sprinkle with peanuts or cashews.
Serves two people. Total preparation time about 10 minutes.
